Blue seafish and the kindness of strangers
The kindness of people who have absolutely nothing to do with you will never not make me smile. You really have to have a lot of faith to put such kindness out there.
It must have been about 10 in the morning, in Espacio Intermodal, the Majestic* of Palma de Mallorca. 3 of us sat waiting for the bus to Alcudia. One of us who will remain unnamed (it was me) messed up and saw the schedule for the wrong bus. After some improvisation, the plan was to take the wrong bus.
This super kind Spanish woman, approximately 55-60, offered some Ines Rosales. She even went as far as showing us the exact bus we would need to catch from there to get to where we originally intended.
This whole episode happened halfway through the trip. I’ll start from scratch. We took the late evening flight from Geneva to Majorca, and
Biking in the Balearic Islands. Snorkeling in the Mediterranean Sea.
*Majestic: in English, majestic is an adjective. For the people of Bengaluru, Majestic is an emotion. It is hard to put into words what exactly it is. I could say it is a bus stand, metro station, railway station etc. and I wouldn’t be wrong, but I wouldn’t completely capture the essence of it. There is so much more to Majestic than just that. Like the balloons you see on road sides. Or that iconic Priya-Manu scene from Sapta Sagaradaache Ello. Or the queues for bus pass. For contextual purposes, let’s call it a big station for public and private buses, trains and metros.
